While every vision will be as unique and varied as each person who is born, there will be common traits that every leader's vision shares. These common qualities are:
- It is unique and personal.
- It is larger than mere ideas or preferences.
- It requires the leader to act as an innovator.
- It is an image that is both conceptual and practical.

Working on Intimacy:
Relationships are difficult to assess because they are fluid and often change. This self-assessment is designed to help give you an idea of how intimate you are with God. Answer the questions below to give yourself a picture of where you are in your relationship with God. Thinking Carefully:
- Has God revealed any purpose or vision to you, yet? What is he saying to you?
- Do you identify with a problem anywhere? How are you praying for that need? What are you doing about it?
Working on My Vision:
We might be tempted to ask, "How can God use me?" or "Am I really important?" But we need to realize that each person does have a unique purpose, it just takes work to realize what that is and how to act on it. Another way of approaching these questions is to spend time developing a personal purpose statement and letting that statement guide your objectives and goals in everyday life.
